Prakanda meets PM Deuba, requests to withdraw cases against party leaders

KATHMANDU: Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma ‘Prakanda’, the top leader of Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led CPN, met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday and requested the PM to withdraw cases filed against its party leaders.

Leader Prakanda met PM Deuba at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

Citing that the government has not withdrawn the allegations against its cadres, Biplav’s CPN has been putting pressure on the government.

In today’s meeting, Prakanda requested the Prime Minister to withdraw the cases against his leaders and activists and release the prisoners, PM Deuba’s secretariat sources said.

The then KP Sharma Oli-led government agreed on three point-demands of the Biplav-led CPN, which came to the peace process, has not yet been fulfilled.
