Maoist Centre to work to bring in 3 million tourists



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center has said it would organize International Buddhist Festival every year on the occasion of the Buddha Jayanti.

The party has also expressed its commitment to make Great Himalayan Trail from Taplejung to Darchula, tourism infrastructure development in the trekking routes and war tourism including Guerrilla trail from Chunwang to Beni more systematic.

The party said classification of the mountaineers would be arranged and the security and emergency rescue of the mountaineers and trekkers would be made reliable and trustworthy.

Likewise, ‘garbage-free mountains’ programme would be conducted for the management of garbage piled up in the mountains, according to the election manifesto made public by the party on Monday.

The party has also targeted to prepare a basis to receive as high as 3 million foreign tourists.
