Cricketer Lamichhane to come Nepal on October 6

KATHMANDU: Suspended captain of Nepali national cricket team, Sandeep Lamichhane, who was accused of raping a minor, has said that he is coming to Nepal on October 6.

Writing a long status on Facebook, Lamichhane mentioned that he is coming to Nepal with great hope and strength and that he will fight the legal battle against the charges against him.

A minor filed a complaint, on September 6, against cricketer Lamichhane alleging that he had repeatedly raped her.

The Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant against Sandeep, who had gone to the West Indies to play cricket.

Sandeep has been out of contact for long after the arrest warrant.
