KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University Teachers’ Association (TUTA) has urged the stakeholders to hold talks to resolve the issues facing Tribhuvan University (TU).
It also warned that the happening of untoward activities in a dignified institution like TU could be counterproductive.
Issuing a press statement on Thursday, TUTA’s President Prof Dr Ramesh Kumar Joshi said instability in the TU and activities creating adverse impact on TU officials, professors and other students were wrong.
Such inappropriate acts should be resolved at the earliest possible time through academic talks, Prof KC said in his statement.
He further said that padlocking, nonacademic and indecent activities in the academic platform like TU could not be regarded as an appropriate job by no means.
Any of such issues should be addressed through procedure, system, peaceful dialogue and debate instead of being irresponsible and impassioned, read the statement.
