Nepal sees 895 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 895 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 632 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 263 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,909 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 3,685 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,224 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,934 active cases in the country as 264 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One COVID-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,968.
