ILAM: At least 11 people were hurt when a jeep skidded off the road and fell around 200 meters at Milagolai of Ilam Municipality-1 along the Ilam-Nepaltar Puwakhola section of the Mechi Highway on Friday.
Of the injured, four reported to be in serious condition were referred to Jhapa for further treatment while others were receiving treatment at Ilam Hospital, said the police.
The identity of the injured has yet to be established. The ill-fated vehicle (Ko 1 Ja 3329) was headed to Jhapa from Thumbedin in Taplejung district.
