3 killed in separate road accidents



KATHMANDU: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Chitwan, Dhankuta, and Saptari districts.

A man has died after being hit by a vehicle at Dharapani of Ichchhakamana rural municipality-4 along the Prithvi Highway in Chitwan this morning.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been revealed, police said. He was hit by an unregistered vehicle at around 4 this morning.

Similarly, a motorcyclist died in a motorcycle accident in Dhankuta municipality-6 Tuesday night. The seriously injured motorcyclist died at the District Hospital, Dhankuta in the course of treatment.

The deceased has not been identified yet, police said.

According to the District Police Office, Dhankuta, the motorcycle (Me 6 Pa 1756) heading towards Dharan from Dhankuta overturned in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Likewise, a young man died on the spot after being hit by a bus in Kanchanrup municipality-12 of Saptari district last night.

The deceased has been identified as a 30-year-old man. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

The bus heading from east to west hit a pedestrian at around 9 pm Tuesday.
