Fraudster lands in police net



KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested on charges of defrauding foreign job aspirants of Rs 3 million by promising them jobs in New Zealand.

Police have arrested Bikas Bhattarai Khatri, 45, of Nagarjuna municipality-9, Suchatar.

The fraudster said that it would cost Rs 1.5 million per person to be sent to New Zealand on a working visa and that he would work in an agricultural firm after reaching New Zealand.

According to the police, the two were tricked into accepting a monthly salary of at least Rs 250,000.
