Nepal sees 20 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 20 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 18 cases were detected through the RT-PCR method and two through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,222 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 2,508 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 714 through the Antigen method.

As many as 10 cases were diagnosed in Kathmandu and four in Lalitpur in Kathmandu Valley.

No one died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,951 to date.

Currently, there are 221 active cases in the country as 27 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
