KATHMANDU: A person who had filed candidacy for the forthcoming local level election has died.

The deceased is Kusumi Pasin, who had registered candidacy to the post of Dalit woman member at ward 3 of Marchawari Rural Municipality from the CPN-UML. Pasin passed away on Saturday.

Election officer of Marchawari Saroj Pokharel said the Election Commission has been notified after getting the information about the death of the election candidate.

He said the process of re-nomination of candidacy would be forwarded without hampering the election schedule.
