UML forms Valley Special Committee

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML’s Valley Special Committee has been formed comprising 170 members.

UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel inaugurated the committee’s office in Kathmandu Sunday.

Lawmaker Sujita Shakya has been elected as the chairperson and Samir Nepal as the secretary of the province-level Valley Special Committee.

The Valley Special Committee has been formed by incorporating the UML’s four district committees (professionals, workers, young students and industrialists) within the Valley, and shares the same status as other provincial committees.

Shakya had received responsibility of the committee some time ago while Nepal was recently appointed as the secretary as per the decision of the party central committee.
