NC publishes active membership list of three more districts



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has published a list of active members of three more districts for the upcoming 14th General Convention. The list of active members of Sunsari, Makwanpur and Baglung has been published in the party’s website Tiesday as per Article 1 (b) of the Election Directive, 2021.

According to Mahadev Prasad Yadav, coordinator of the election committee, district election officers have also been deployed in the districts where the list of active members has been published.

Earlier, the NC had published the list of active members of 38 districts on August 26, 10 districts on August 27 and five districts on August 28.

According to the party office, the active membership list of the remaining 21 districts will be published before the ward convention scheduled for September 3. About 900,000 renewed and new NC active members are voters of the party’s village/municipal ward convention. The Congress party statute states that the active members will elect the ward committee and regional representative of their ward.
