BSP divided over issues of federalism and secularism

Party Chair Mishra, Coordinator Pandey call separate meetings



KATHMANDU: Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) Chairman Rabindra Mishra and Central Committee (CC) Coordinator of the party Milan Pandey have called separate CC meetings of the party.

Coordinator Pandey called a CC meeting for Thursday stating that  Party Chairman Mishra called a separate meeting on the same day.

Pandey has called a virtual CC meeting on Thursday.

Pandey has called a CC meeting saying that the party should not be put in a state of indecision for the reason that party chairman Mishra changed a course of ideology.

Earlier, the party had decided to call a CC meeting in a mutual understanding between the party chairman and the CC coordinator as per the Section 20 (10) of the party statute.

Internal party dispute has surfaced after party chairman Mishra floated a proposal for holding referendum on issues of federalism and secularism.
