NC ward convention in Okhaldhunga, Khotang and Solukhumbu on Sept 3

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its 14th General Convention from September 3 this year.

Election officials of Okhaldhunga, Khotang and Solukhumbu districts have said that the ward convention will be held on September 3.

Advocate Kritinath Sharma Poudel, Election Officer of Okhaldhunga, said, “We will hold the election of the regional representative along with the ward convention.”

“We have come with the statute, directives and the list of active members for the election,” Sharma said.

Similarly, Bikas Bhattarai has reached Khotang and Election Officer Kailash Gurung has also reached Solukhumbu.

However, the Election Committee (EC) has not yet received the active membership details of 24 districts as the active membership dispute has not been resolved.

Only in 53 districts where the issue of active membership has ended, the Central Election Committee already deployed election officers.
