Bagmati Province govt adds four more offices

MAKWANPUR: The Bagmati Province has decided to set up four new offices under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment in order to provide public service in a convenient manner.

Three soil conservation offices under the forest and environment would be established to control landslide and an office under tourism development project for the development and promotion of tourism sector.

Makwanpur, Ramechhap and Nuwakot will have the soil conservation office, said Information Officer at the Ministry, Nawaraj Pudashaini, adding that a sub-branch of tourism development project would be set up in Kathmandu.

Earlier, the province government had set up soil conservation offices each in Lalitpur and Sindhupalchowk districts. Additional offices were established after the efforts from these two facilities could not dispense adequate works on landslide control.

With the sub branch in Kathmandu, anyone from 13 districts of the province seeking services and project agreement under the tourism development is freed of compulsion to reach Hetauda.
