NTC’s 4G tower being set up in Humla

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom is setting up a 4G tower at Limi of Namkha Rural Municipality-6, a remote northern belt of Humla district. Supply of construction materials via helicopter is underway now.

The people here were deprived of telephone communication for lack of tower. Namkha Rural Municipality Chair Bishnu Bahadur Lama informed that Nepal Telecom’s 4G tower was being constructed to facilitate communication.

Helicopter was used to ferry the construction materials as it was not practical for people to carry these, he added. The helicopter belonging to Simrik Air is carrying the construction materials like solar equipment.
