Nepal sees 3,106 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 775 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,106 new cases of coronavirus while 1,916 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,280 were detected through RT-PCR method and 826 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 23 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 9,857 in the country.

In the meantime, Kathmandu Valley has seen 775 cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours. The Ministry updated that there have been 517 new cases of coronavirus in Kathmandu district whereas Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district witnessed 164 and 94 cases respectively.
