Nepse increases by 43.36 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (Nepse) has increased by 43.36 points on Wednesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2619.02 points.

Shares of the banking group increased nearly 41 points on Wednesday. Similarly, shares of Development Bank increased by 43 points, Hotel and Tourism by 63 points, Hydropower by 35 points, Finance by nine points, Micro Finance by 27 points, Life Insurance Group by 168 points, Non-Life Insurance Group by 349 points, Manufacturing by 31 points, Others by 25 points and Investment Group by almost two points.

A total of 112.28 million shares of 209 companies were traded on Wednesday, resulting in a turnover of Rs 6.16 billion.

Shares of five companies increased more than nine percent today.

The trading period was extended till 4 pm on Wednesday due to a problem in Nepse’s Trading Management System (TMS).
