KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has called a central committee meeting on Monday.
The meeting is scheduled to discuss the party’s strategy and review the ongoing protest programs organized by the faction against the government, according to Gangalal Tuladhar, Secretary of the faction’s party office.
According to him, the Central Committee meeting will be held at the Karki Party Banquet, Babarmahal at 11 am on Monday.
This is the first time that the Prachanda-Nepal faction is convening the CC meeting after the Election Commission (EC) refuted claims that the NCP has split.
The Prachanda-Nepal faction has been claiming of being the authentic NCP, which it says has 297 out of 441 central members.
