Former RPP Chair Kamal Thapa to launch “new campaign”

KATHMANDU: Outgoing Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kamal Thapa is launching what he said “new campaign” from January 11.

This means that he is very much likely to abandon the agenda of reinstating the institution of monarchy in the country.

According to Thapa, the campaign would be in favor of restoring Nepal as a Hindu nation.

After losing to Rajendra Lingden at the party’s recently-concluded General Convention, Thapa has been expressing dissatisfaction with Nirmal Niwas and former King Gyanendra.

Thapa has also expressed his grudges to newly-elected RPP Chairman Linden saying that Gyanendra and Nirmal Niwas interfered in the party’s election.
