Maoist Center General Convention: 20 groups submit suggestions

Standing Committee meeting to be held

KATHMANDU: As many as 20 groups have submitted their suggestions in the political report of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” under the ongoing General Convention of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Prachanda will respond to the suggestions today evening, party sources said.

Likewise, a meeting of the party Standing Committee is being held to discuss the selection of the leadership.

Meanwhile, the Maoist party is also preparing to make public the election schedule for the new leadership.

It is almost sure that the eighth general convention of the party will re-elect Prachanda as the Chairman.

So far, no one has claimed for the party Chairmanship and the leaders and cadres have been increasing the pressure saying that Prachanda cannot be left in the middle by leaving the party in the lurch.
