Five including ward chair held for forging citizenship cards



KATHMANDU: Five individuals including a ward chairman have been arrested for their involvement in faking citizenship cards in Bajhang district.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested ward chairman of Jayaprithvi municipality-1, Gagan Singh, for recommending fake citizenship cards.

Alongside Gagan, ward secretary Karan BK and accountant Ajaya Bahadur Singh of the ward office, have been arrested and now have been sent to District Police Office, Bajhang for investigation.

Similarly, police have also arrested Ain Bahadur Singh, the headmaster of Narayan Secondary School in the same ward, on the charge of forging a fake certificate in this connection.
