KATHMANDU: The influence of the westerly low-pressure system and the low-pressure formed around the Bihar State of India is gradually subsiding from today.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted that the effect of this system will gradually subside and the sun will shine towards the afternoon.

According to the Division, light rain is falling in some parts of the country this morning. Light snow is falling in a few places in the high hills and mountains.

Similarly, the weather will remain party to generally cloudy in the afternoon with chances of light rain in a few places in the hilly region and light to moderate snowfall is possible in some parts of high hilly and mountainous region.

Likewise, light snowfall is also expected in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous region of Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki at night.

Rain and snow fell across the country on Wednesday due to the westerly low-pressure system that entered from western Nepal last Sunday.
