KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba urged the youth leaders not to hurry in taking the party leadership and work towards ending infighting in the party.

Releasing a book “Rajneta Subarna Shumsher” published by Subarna Shumsher Study Foundation and written by Ram Chandra Ghimire here Tuesday, the Prime Minister Deuba has praised the founding leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) Subarna Shumsher Rana for his great sacrifice, dedication, and contribution to the country’s democratic movement and his loyalty to democracy never diminished.

“He was a decent person with reticent manner but listening others’ ideas more. First time I met Subarnaji in Kolkata. He also helped in the establishment of the Nepal Student’s Union. He was a democratic socialist leader who spent all his wealth for the cause of democracy,” PM Deuba recalled his memories.

Likewise, Party’s assistant general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the NC rank and file should deliver the message from the practice itself that the NC cadres were not in politics for gain but to share.

Also speaking at the event, NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma suggested that the opposition party should be tolerant to address the issues of changes in politics and institutionalize the agendas of transformation and social transformation.

He also said that the party president and the leaders of first-generation should support transforming the party as per the people’s expectations.

Likewise, party central committee member Ramesh Lekhak said that the book is worthy of the collection since it has compiled historical, multidimensional, and inspirational issues on Subarna Shumsher.
