UML to hold second meeting of newly elected CC on Dec 11 and 12

Newly elected UML officials take oath of office



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, which has concluded its 10th general convention in Chitwan, has slated its second meeting of the newly elected Central Committee (CC) for December 11 and 12.

The first meeting of the newly elected CC is taking place Tuesday itself in Chitwan. The UML concluded its 10th congress by electing a 301-member CC, including office bearers, under the leadership of Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Re-elected UML Chair Oli, addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected central members, said that the second meeting of the newly elected CC was scheduled for December 11 and 12. He added that the first CC meeting would take place in a while.

Chair Oli administered the oath of office to the newly elected CC members, including office bearers, at the swearing-in ceremony. Likewise, office bearers of various party commissions were also administered the oath by chair of commissions concerned.

Chair Oli informed that the second CC meeting would decide on the formation of Standing Committee, politburo and the party’s programs.

Earlier, Coordinator of UML Election Commission Dr. Bijay Subba administered the oath to the re-elected Chair Oli.
