Man held for impersonating police officer and extorting money from businessmen



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Pushpa Raj Chemjong, 31, of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-12 on Friday on charges of demanding money from local traders by claiming to be plainclothes police from the South Gate of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15.

A team of police deployed from Area Police Office Rani, Biratnagar nabbed the impostor red-handed while he was extorting money from traders.

Further investigation into the arrested is underway, Morang police said.
