RPP Chair Lohani backs Lingden as RPP Chairperson



KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani has publicly urged party cadres and leaders to support leader Rajendra Lingden, who has announced his candidature for the post of party Chairman.

Lingden and incumbent Chairman Kamal Thapa have announced their candidacies for the post of chairperson of the RPP general convention which will begin on Wednesday.

Among the three RPP chairpersons Thapa, Lohani and Pashupati Shumsher Rana, Lohani has expressed his support to Lingden.

However, Rana has remained silent.

Speaking at a press conference held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Lohani urged Thapa and Rana to support Linden.

Stating that he supported Linden as per his pre-announced idea of ​​giving the responsibility of the party to the youth who could not reach a consensus in the leadership, Lohani urged the other two chairpersons Thapa and Rana to stand in support of Lingden.
