Support to the family of journalist Nepal

CHITWAN: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has provided financial assistance to the family of late journalist Dwarika Nepal.

The FNJ Chitwan chapter provided Rs. 50,000 along with Rs. 25,000 provided by the Center.

On the 13th day of demise of journalist Nepal, FNJ Chitwan chapter president Narayan Adhikari handed over the cash to Nepal’s brother Shalikram in the presence of FNJ officials on Friday. Journalist Nepal, 47, had passed away on October 17 due to brain haemorrhage.

The Chitwan chapter had earlier decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the families of its deceased members. Similarly, the members of the federation have also been provided accident insurance worth Rs 700,000.

In case of non-availability of insurance facility for Nepal, the federation had decided to provide the financial assistance immediately.
