Besisahar-Chame road resumes after two weeks



KATHMANDU: Besisahar-Chame road section which had been obstructed due to post-monsoon disaster has come into operations.

The road section had been obstructed after the landslide occurred on October 19.

The road has come into operation after the bridge was constructed over the Timang rivulet. With the bridge construction, the Besisahar-Chame-Khansar road section has come into operation, informed District Police Office, Manang.

The floods and landslides had occurred damaged the road in 12 different places in Chame rural municipality alone.

The road from Besisar to Manang (65 km) has come into operation after the road was repaired, said Achyut Panta, chief engineer of Dumre-Besisahar-Chame road project.
