Maoist Center growing roots in Madhes: Chair Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has claimed that his party will now grow roots in Terai.

Speaking at a program held to welcome new members joining the party in Jorpati, Kathmandu, Monday, Prachanda remarked that Maoist Center was the party championing the rights of the Madhesi people.

“The message given by your entry into Maoist Center is that there should be no other party in the Terai and the Maoists are taking over,” he told newcomers joining the party.

Prachanda asserted that it was evident that political stability, prosperity and liberation won’t be possible in the country until and unless Maoists becomes the largest party.

On a different note, he said discussion regarding cabinet expansion would continue Tuesday as well.
