Gagan Thapa announces candidature for party General Secretary

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has announced his candidature for the post of General Secretary at the party’s upcoming 14th general convention.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu Monday, Thapa announced that he would contest for the post of General Secretary at the General Convention.

Thapa added that the basis of his candidacy was because of his senior leaders and party cadres.

Thapa had also given his candidature for the post of the General Secretary in the 13th General Convention.

He is believed to be the strongest candidate for the post of General Secretary at the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress to be held later this year.
