Two persons missing as jeep falls into Karnali River in Kailali



KATHMANDU: Two persons have gone missing after a jeep fell into the Karnali River in Kailali.

According to police, the jeep fell into the Karnali River from the Chisapani-Solta Kutchi road, which is in dilapidated condition, in Mohanyal Rural Municipality-7 Friday afternoon.

Kailali Police Spokesperson DSP Pratik Bista said driver of the jeep Prakash Joshi and his wife Rupi of Doti have gone missing in the river. Search for them is underway.

Joshi’s daughters Laxmi, 13, Savitri, 4, and son Bhuvan, 3, were injured in the accident. Among them, the condition of Bhuvan and Sabitri is critical.
