355 jailbirds from Bhimphedi prison test coronavirus positive



MAKWANPUR:  Three hundred fifty five inmates of Bhimphedi prison have tested coronavirus positive in the tests carried out on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Narayan Pandey, the head of Bhimphedi Prison, 355 inmates of Block (A) and Block (B) of Bhimphedi Prison tested positive of late.

Pandey informed there are 969 prisoners in the jail.

The prisoners who tested positive COVID19 positive were kept on the upper floor of the prison abiding by health safety protocols.

Although most of the inmates in the prison have been vaccinated against coronavirus, both those who have been vaccinated and those who have not been vaccinated have tested positive on the latest tests.
