Additional 800,000 doses of Vero Cell arriving from China today

China to provide 1.6 mln more vaccines



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is bringing additional 800,000 doses of Vero Cell vaccines from China today.

A wide body airbus of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will bring the Vero Cell vaccines to Kathmandu in the afternoon today.

Out of the 4 million doses that Nepal has purchased from China, the last ‘lot’ vaccine is being brought, according to the Supply Management Branch under the Department of Health Services.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government has announced to provide additional 1.6 million doses of vaccine to Nepal.

However, it has not been decided when the vaccine will come to Nepal, said the management branch.
