7 joint secys recommended for promotion in four vacant posts



KATHMANDU: The names of seven joint secretaries have been recommended to fill out the vacancies of four secretaries in various bodies.

A meeting of the promotion recommendation committee chaired by Public Service Commission Chairman Madhav Prasad Regmi has recommended the names of seven joint secretaries.

Only one name has been recommended for the promotion of one secretary to the Administration department on the basis of seniority.

Three joint secretaries have been recommended for the post of one secretary in the forest service and three for the promotion of one position in the engineering service.

The meeting of the promotion recommendation committee has recommended the name of Dr. Damodar Regmi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population on the basis of seniority.

Similarly, Joint Secretary for Agriculture and Forest Services Dr. Krishna Prasad Acharya, Niru Dahal Pandey, and Deepak Kharal have been recommended.

Similarly, Joint Secretary Pramila Bajracharya, Sushil Chandra Tiwari and Govinda Sigdel have been recommended for the engineering service.

Regmi will be promoted to the post of secretary while two out of six technical candidates will be recommended on the basis of seniority and performance.

Currently, the posts of eight secretaries are vacant, including five in the administration department, two in the engineering, and one in the forest and agriculture department.

There are vacancies for secretaries in the President’s Office, Vice President’s Office, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Forest and Environment, and Chief Secretaries in Gandaki and Karnali.
