NA finds chopper wreckage and unidenfied bodies near Dhaulagiri base camp

KATHMANDU: Nepal Army (NA) has recovered two unidentified bodies and the wreckage of a helicopter near the base camp of Mt. Dhaulagiri on April 29.

According to NA spokesperson Santosh Ballav Poudel, parts of a helicopter and two bodies were found near the base camp during NA’s ongoing ‘Mountain Cleaning Campaign-2021.’

NA has stated that the identity of the recovered bodies has not been ascertained.

NA spokesperson has informed that  the Mountain Cleaning Campaign has so far collected a total of 5,154 Kgs of waste, which includes 355 Kgs of Bio-degradable and 4,799 Kgs of Non-Bio-degradable waste.
