Nepal records 5,727 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 5,727 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,657 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 70 have been tested positive through the Antigen method Friday afternoon.

According to the Ministry, 2,404 persons in Kathmandu, 419 in Lalitpur, and 133 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 928 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 33 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,279.
