Two ministers test COVID-19 positive

KATHMANDU: Minister for Drinking Water, Mani Chandra Thapa has tested positive for coronavirus. With this, the number of federal ministers testing positive for coronavirus has reached two so far.

According to sources, Minister Thapa’s swab was collected on Thursday.

“I tested coronavirus positive on Thursday; however, my health condition is normal,”  Minister Thapa said, adding, “I do not see any major problem other than laziness and the common cold.”

He is currently in home isolation.

Earlier, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi had tested coronavirus positive on April 26.

He did not attend the Cabinet meeting on Monday after the confirmation of the virus.
