Three jailed for violating prohibitory orders in Rupandehi



BUTWAL: Three people violating the prohibitory orders in Rupandehi have been put behind bars for one month.

Three persons have been jailed as they failed to pay a fine of Rs. 9,000, police said.

Among those arrested, five people were released after paying the fine.

Those sent to the jail are Dinesh Yadav, 27, of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-4, Shyam Dubey, 28, of Siddharthnagar Municipality-8, and Mahendra Kohar, 34, of Mayadevi-2, according to DSP Satyanarayan Thapa, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Rupendehi.

DSP Thapa said that action was taken against them under Section 3, Sub-section 2 of the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020.
