UML leader Pandey accuses Chair Oli of being Prachanda’s abettor

KATHMANDU: UML Standing Committee member Surendra Pandey has accused party Chair KP Oli of working as an abettor of CPN-Maoist Center leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

In his letter of explanation addressed to the party Chair and Prime Minister KP Oli, leader Pandey has refuted all allegations made against the disgruntled leaders of Madhav Kumar Nepal faction, and has accused party Chair Oli of being Prachanda’s puppet before the merger of the UML and Maoist Center.

“It’s ridiculous to face the allegation of being Prachanda’s abettor from Chairman Oli, who had reached a secret agreement with Maoist Chairman Prachanda in the past,” Pandey’s clarification note reads, “Now you tell yourself, are you Prachanda’s puppet or someone else?”

Leader Pandey has reminded that PM Oli had made many agreements, including taking turns to become Prime Minister, with Maoist Center Chair Prachanda without the consent of party committees.

Pandey has clarified why he along with other leaders had to organize the national convention called on March 17-18. As per the letter submitted by Pandey, the faction was forced to hold the national conclave after Chair Oli did not heed to several proposals, put forward by the faction, meant for unifying the communist parties.
