UML’s Madhav Nepal faction calls SC meeting



KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the CPN-UML has called a meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) today.

A leader said even though disgruntled faction is holding a meeting Tuesday afternoon, the time and venue were yet to be decided.

The meeting has been called a day after UML Chairman KP Oli, who is also the Prime Minister, suspended Madhav Kumar Nepal and Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal from the party for six months.

Meanwhile, Nepal and Rawal have said they would not accept the decision.

The faction led by Nepal and senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has made a strategy to form parallel committees in the districts.
