DHANGADHI: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has staged a mass demonstration against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) in Dhangadhi of Kailali district.
Thousands of cadres of the disgruntled faction have gathered at the open ground in Dhangadhi for the protest assembly.
Top-notch leaders including NCP chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader Madhav Nepal will address the mass meeting.
Leaders including Bhim Rawal have been in Kailali for the last few days for the preparation of the mass meeting. Earlier, the Oli faction had staged a mass meeting on January 8.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened in and around the Dhangadhi area in view of the mass demonstration.
On the eve of the protest rally, a motorcycle rally had been organized place on Friday evening.
The faction had staged a demonstration in Biratnagar on Friday and in Butwal on Thursday in a show of strength against the KP Oli-led government.
