Karnali province gets no official selected in UML’s General Convention

SAURAHA: In the list prepared by CPN-UML’s presidium formed by the closed session of the 10th General Convention of the party, Karnali province has been sans its representation in the party’s executive body comprising the office bearers.

Earlier, leaders representing Karnali as central members had been demanding the selection of Yamlal Kandel as central office bearer. However, no one from Karnali was named in the list made public by the presidium.

However, the province has got 21 leaders included in the party’s central committee.

A central member expressed dissatisfaction over the non-representation of office bearers. “Karnali has under-representation in the central committee,” he said.

From Karnali Yamlal Kandel (Surkhet), Gorakh Bahadur Bogati (Humla), Dharmaraj Regmi (Dailekh), Niraj Acharya (Jajarkot), Gulabjang Shah (Salyan), Bishnu Rijal (Dailekh), National Shahi Nagendra (Kalikot), Dal Rawal (Humla), Deepa Sharma Rupakheti (Surkhet), CP Ghartimagar (Rukumpashchim), Mohan Baniya (Mugu), Meena Rakhal (Dailekh), Tirtha Gautam (Surkhet), Dakshina Shahi (Kalikot), Mohan Maya Dhakal (Surkhet), Raj Bahadur Budha (Dailekh), Navraj Rawat (Surkhet), Dambar Bahadur Singh, Surya Kumari Shrestha, Bhairav ​​Sundar Shrestha and Laxmi Pokharel have been elected as central members.
