DOTI: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale has said he is committed to significantly developing the art, culture, and tourism sector in the Sudurpaschim province.

Addressing the Rural Municipality-level Assembly of the CPN (Unified Socialist) at Jorayal rural municipality here today, he described Sudurpaschim province as rich in art, culture, and tourism aspects and not to let these sectors be left in the back-burner.

The Minister asserted that a lot of developmental works were taking place in the province in recent days from the budget of the federal and the provincial governments. He underlined the need of auditing these activities at the citizens’ level.

Province minister for internal affairs and law, Purna Joshi said the development works have been initiated in the province in such a way that all citizens, even the poor households, can experience them. Former lawmaker Harka Bahadur Singh stressed carrying out development works in a sustainable way.

CPN (Unified Socialist) district president Dirgha Raj Bogati underscored the need of creating job opportunities within the province itself so as to stop the exodus of youths going to India in search of seasonal work.
