Minister Ale calls for collective efforts to restore NAC image

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale on Friday stressed the need for all to come together to restore the image of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

“I wish government aircrafts flew in the Nepali sky like private ones. Let’s unite to elevate the status of national flag carrier,” he said in talks with aviation service providers in government and private sectors at the Ministry.

Stating that the aviation sector in Nepal was hit hard by COVID-19, the attending private aviation service providers on the occasion pledged to help and cooperate with the NAC to operate its aircrafts. They complained about the pathetic condition of most airports in hilly districts, which they said increased security risks.

They demanded with the Minister to manage aviation safety and security at airports.
