Vice President Nidhi assigned Acting President of NC



KATHMANDU: Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Bimalendra Nidhi, has been assigned as Acting President of the party.

He was assigned with the responsibility after NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for the UK on Friday to participate in the World Leaders’ Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).

President Deuba assigned Nidhi as Acting President in line with Article 25 (13) of the Nepali Congress Statute, 2017 (with amendment) until he returns back to home, said Chief Secretary of NC Party Office, Krishna Prasad Poudel.
