CPN-UML Central Committee meeting underway at Chyasal

To endorse SC's decisions



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the main opposition CPN-UML is underway at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

The meeting will endorse the decisions taken by the Standing Committee (SC) meeting on Thursday.

Besides, the meeting is also reviewing the ward convention held on October 23 and village/municipal conventions on October 26.

It is also likely to take further decisions on upcoming 10th general convention of the party.

The SC meeting held on Thursday had finalized 1,538 representatives for the general convention. “Today’s CC meeting will endorse the decision in the meeting today,” informed Sher Bahadur Tamang, the secretary of the UML central office.

Likewise, the CC meeting will also take necessary decisions on the remaining clauses of the 10-point agreement to be implemented. Leaders Bhim Rawal and Ghanashyam Bhusal have been demanding that the 10-point agreement should be implemented in a letter and spirit.

UML has decided to hold its 10th General Convention on November 26 to 28 in Chitwan.
