CJ Rana schedules cases; judges in internal discussion

KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has scheduled cases for hearing even today.

Even though CJ Rana has assigned eight benches today, SC Justices are engaged in internal discussion.

However, hearing on the cases have been uncertain since the Justices are upping the ante against  Chief Justice Rana, calling for his resignation.

Earlier, the writ petitions scheduled for hearing after Monday had been boycotted by Justices.

All the Supreme Court Justices have concluded that Rana should step down on moral ground.

Rana has been dragged into controversy after he allegedly demanded share in ministerial portfolios and constitutional bodies.
