Ruling coalition partners to initiate formal discussions on cabinet expansion from Monday

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the ruling coalition partners will start a formal discussion on cabinet discussion from Monday, Baluwatar sources have said.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, and CPN (Unified Socialist) Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday morning decided to initiate discussion on cabinet discussion from Monday.

Prachanda and Madhav Nepal had reached Baluwatar to meet PM Deuba on Sunday morning.

Nepali Congress leader Purna Bahadur Khadka said that today’s meeting was informal since Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav was out for special reasons.

“Coalition leaders will initiate formal discussions from tomorrow on cabinet expansion,” Khadka said.

PM Deuba has appointed four ministers, two from the CPN-Maoist Center and two from his own party — NC.
