Sri Lankan Airlines to start direct Kathmandu-Colombo flight from Tuesday



KATHMANDU: Sri Lankan Airlines is resuming direct flights between Colombo and Kathmandu from Tuesday.

Direct flights between Nepal and Sri Lanka are resuming from August 31 after four decades.

Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Himalee Arunatilaka in a tweet said that Sri Lankan Airlines is resuming direct flights between Colombo and Kathmandu.

“To all those friends in Nepal who have been asking me when direct flights will start; it’s happening on 31 August 2021,” she has tweeted.

The Sri Lankan Airlines said it would restart the flights twice a week between Colombo and Kathmandu.
